One Scottsdale Home Inspection
I recently did a Scottsdale home inspection and the buyer decided not to purchase the 
home. I think it may have been due to the many roof issues I discovered or perhaps it was because the parapet walls were damaged. I guess it could be the air conditioning duct work that was exposed on the roof or that posts were rotted out in a few locations.
I think the final straw was the furnace was not functioning properly and the CO levels were almost 300 ppm.
Is your real estate agent recommending a good home Inspector?
This buyer was lucky. His agent wanted to make sure he really understood the condition of the property he was looking to purchase. Many agents will recommend a good home inspector, however many agents will recommend an inspector that doesn’t rock the boat or “Kill the deal”.
I have performed home inspections thousands of homes over the last 11 years and I can honestly say I have never killed the deal, I have seen a lot of deals commit suicide though.
See every house has a story, and it is the home inspectors job to write that story down. We don’t make things up, we shouldn’t cover things up either.
I get about 1/2 of my work from real estate agents, the other half comes from referrals and from the internet. If I walk into a room full of agents some will smile at me and some will growl. My job is to document the facts and this protects everybody in the transaction. Some agents understand that, others don’t want to spend more time showing homes.
